Remember we featured the film and interview about Charlotte Blacker back in August here?
If you haven’t seen it already, it’s definitely worth checking out.
We got the below email from her father recently and in honor of Father’s Day we’d like to share a proud dad’s letter about his daughter…
As a previous supporter of Charlotte Blacker’s work, I thought you would like to know that The Royal Television Society held the National Student Television Awards at the Bradford Media Museum on 20/05/11 and Charlotte’s film WON !!
Charlotte Blacker with her film “The Little Red Plane” made out of wool, won the undergraduate National Award for best Animation film. The jury of the national Royal Television Society praised Charlotte’s work and said it was “A beautifully crafted film that achieves its goal of entertaining a pre-school audience. The use of knitting was inspired! A fully rounded film that excels in design, pace, editing and storytelling.”
RTS have now officially published the winners on their site here.
Charlotte’s University website gives an insight into how she made the film here.
Many thanks for your support and for allowing your audience to see her work!
How cute is that?
