It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas…

Greetings, holiday crafters.
It seems as soon as the mess from Thanksgiving is cleaned up, the turkey leftovers have finally all been consumed, the airports are (relatively) calmer and you may or may not have just come in from your first round of snow shoveling, that it’s time to get your worry on. It’s the age-old problem about this time of year, no matter how hard you’ve planned for it…
I tried to be good this year, honestly! I started a beautiful (top-secret) project for my mom in January, and here I find myself poking it with a knitting needle as it’s been languishing in my knitting bag for months. Time to get that baby back on the needles and blocked!
To help get your motivated to start (or finish if you’re in the same boat as me) we’ll be offering up some suggestions in the next few weeks here and there for holiday knitting. Chanukah starts early this year, but you still have a couple of days to get cracking.
Our Bambino Taffy yarn has been a smash success this year. Yarn shops sell out of it quickly, it knits up in an interesting way and the possibilities are endless. We recently came across this little beauty by Peggy Baddour, owner of the Salty Sheep Yarn Shop in Swansboro, NC. Peggy knit up a wonderful little jumper for her niece based on the Little Girl’s Sundress or Jumper pattern by Diane Soucy, called the Jumper for Airalyn. Find it on Ravelry here.
Taking just 4 balls of Bambino Taffy, this size 3 jumper knits up quickly and easily. If you have any little girls in your life, this would be a great project for year round wear. Put a turtleneck and tights underneath for colder months, or wear it as is in the warmer ones.
Better get your list out and check it twice! Not much knitting time left!
