H&H had over 210 exhibitors from 24 countries representing knitting, yarn, sewing, buttons, felting, quilting, needle point, notions and all things craft. Truly a crafters paradise! Be Sweet was well received and came home with great success and new territory for our yarns to be seen, meeting people from almost every European country as well as Tokyo, Dubai and Australia. We enjoyed our neighbors Lantern Moon and Alchemy Yarns with the USA consortium working out well.
Walking the show was an interesting experience. In one corner there was a high-energy dance team modeling knitted garments. In the opposite corner, a 3-story high metal dragon complete with moving parts, dry ice and ice princess dancers. Stunning garments, exciting new yarns, buttons galore and happy face everywhere. Be Sweet definitely stood out with its message of fair trade, products with a conscious and fabulous color with an ever growing range.
This show confirmed our feelings that handcrafts will never go out of style and continues to grow and change with each passing year. People have been handcrafting since the dawn of time and it’s only getting stronger. Auf Wiedersehen for now!
