What’s That I See?

Some of you may recall Rodarte making a splash last year with their October 2008 Vogue cover featuring actress Rachel Weisz wearing one of their sweaters. Almost unheard of to put a non-advertiser on the cover, this cover rocked the boat in the fashion industry.
Hailed as innovative and fresh, Rodarte was started in 2005 in California by a team of sisters, Kate and Laura Mulleavy. Having appeared on more than 20 magazine covers and carried in stores worldwide with a celebrity-heavy client base, having a home in the permanent collection of the Costume Institute at the MET and at FIT in New York, it’s safe to say that Rodarte is here to stay. Not bad for a company with founders that are only 30 years old!
New York Fashion Week was upon us recently running from September 10-17th in Bryant Park and Rodarte had their Spring/Summer 2010 collection featured. See some highlights from their show here and a complete list of featured designers here. But what’s that I see in Rodarte’s new collection? Could that be some Be Sweet Slubby Merino I spy?
Why yes, yes it is.
Fashion Week for Fall 2010 will be upon us before you know it! Looking forward to seeing what Rodarte has up their sleeves for us then!
